Monitoring feed result

Feedm combines the milk yield data with feed intake of all animals into reliable and unique key indicators. The Monitoring Feed Result module allows the dairy farmer to track the effect of the chosen feed strategy. Changes to the circumstances and nutrition are visible to the consultant and the farmer, enabling optimal support of herd performance.

Key indicators

The results of the farm can be monitored on a clear key indicator screen. This screen can be filled with various key indicators and units as desired, such as “per cow per day”, “per 100 kg milk” and “company levels”. Some of the available key indicators:

Feed balance
Milk yield
Feed costs
Concentrate feed costs
Roughage costs
Feed efficiency

Graphs can be used to show herd performance, for example for the categories “Feed Balance”, “Feed Costs” and “Milk and Feed”.

The user can organise the key indicator screen to suit his needs, creating a unique combination of key indicators. The consultant then has a tailor-made key indicator screen to hand on every farm. The farmer can view the screen online or the feed consultant can leave a printout behind.

Feed deliveries

Feed deliveries can be read into Feedm automatically via a link to the administration software package. A cost estimate per feed category can be calculated by placing the feed in different groups. A feed delivery can also be entered manually, so that all the feed actually fed can be included in the key indicator calculation.

When using the Monitoring Feed Result module, you can also analyse the milk tests and dairy deliveries with the available key indicators and graphs about milk.
